Joseph Kafunda is the Chairperson of the Emerging Tourism Enterprise Association and a member of the World Tourism Network.

Mr. Joseph Kafunda has been instrumental during all 3 months, he held Zoom webinars to motivate his Association members to remain positive and strong during this pandemic.

He started to help Small and Medium entrepreneurs with motivational speeches and have Mentorship training with them when his regions were done and he continues to have that role of Mentoring the small and medium businesses.

His Mentorship has help 7 young Namibia to start their own business in this Covid19 period.

Mr. Joseph Kafunda was the front line when the informal settlement burned down and he is cry brought millions of Namibia to help the people and he could not stop but continue to strive for this people and they awarded him accommodation and he continued to hold soup kitchen time to time for his people in Twaloloka.

As a Chairperson of the Emerging Tourism Enterprise Association, he has brought in Tourism Guide become a member of the Association and many look at that as an achievement to the Association and offer his member 2020 am free membership platform and this has been seen as a great achievement.

In Africa, he has brought to light many webinars with his leadership skills and the establishment of Intra Africa Travel as part of the tourism revival?

Mr. Kafunda was nominated for the Hero recognition by Philla Kahivere, Oceanic Travel in the U.S.

  • • ETEA was established in 2010 to be the monitoring and supporting body for emerging tourism enterprises in Namibia. The establishment resulted from the need of an association which provides the necessary assistance and support to the challenges faced by emerging tourism businesses in Namibia. ETEA currently has over 135 registered members from all the regions in Namibia. Our member’s ranges from tour operators, tour facilitators, craft retail, tour guides, shuttle operators, B&B’s, campsites etc. 
  • • ETEA is a member of FENATA and is recognized by the Namibian Tourism Board and Ministry of Environment and Tourism a voice for the voiceless. 

ETEA aim is to: 

  • • To promote domestic, regional tourism awareness. 
  • • To enforce integrity, professionalism & business ethics among emerging tourism 

Enterprises. 

  • • Lobby financial and private institutions to invest in emerging tourism enterprises. 
  • • To forge institutional partnerships locally, regionally and internationally. 
  • • To source new markets for its members
